Blackstone Tabletop Griddle
by Indigo ·

One of the only reasons I agreed to go on these camping trips was to increase the amount of playtime that I wasn’t getting at home. During the week, my human spends most of his time working – a complete waste of his energy which would be much better spent fetching my toys or taking me on walks.
So I nearly wagged my tail off when he purchased the Blackstone 22” Tabletop Griddle. Ever had to clean one of those camping barbecues? They take twenty to thirty minutes to scrub, you end up with grease all over your hands and clothes, and you’ll never get it clean no matter how much you sweat and swear. So you can imagine my human’s delight the first time he had to clean the Blackstone. All it took was a scraper, a scrubbing pad, three paper towels, and five minutes to get the griddle perfectly clean. Not only that, but just like a cast iron pan the more you use it, the more the surface gets seasoned, and the better your food tastes.
The very first meal he cooked on the griddle was his famous gourmet garlic hamburgers with grilled onions on the side and toasted Kaiser buns. With two cooking zones, he was able to finish the burgers on the left while toasting and grilling the onions and rolls on the right. I stood by and supervised the cooking just in case something fell on the ground – you never know. In return for my expert oversight, I was rewarded with a small chunk of hamburger. Not big enough by my standards, but delicious nonetheless.
This was followed by chicken fajitas the next night. Then steak and shrimp kabobs with peppers and pineapple (see photo below). Then perfectly cooked bacon and eggs. It’s got me dreaming about maple walnut pancakes, garlic green onion hash browns, Asian fusion stir fry, and hot Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. The possibilities are endless.
So far, every single meal that comes off this amazing griddle is better than the one before. My human is becoming a Master Short Order Cook. My stomach couldn’t be happier.
Did I mention the 18’ quick connect line that hooks directly into our trailer’s propane supply? It means you don’t have to wrestle with a separate tank or those ridiculously small green bottles that you have to recycle. Just plug in the griddle and you’re ready to go!
You can also buy Blackstone tools, a bit pricier than the cheap junk from Walmart, but considering the quality and durability of Blackstone, don’t hesitate. You get what you pay for. You won’t be disappointed.
So what can I say? Great food and faster clean up which means tasty treats and more playtime for the dog. What more could a girl want?
