Indie Pendant

I have a collar around my neck. A pink one. With two pendants and an Airtag (in case I get lost).

The first tag is orange and shaped like an Oreo cookie. It has the date of my rabies vaccine in May of 2022, a painful memory if I’m being honest. Personally, I don’t mind my veterinarian who gives me treats and scratches my head. But he smells funny—like a strange potpourri of bunnies, dogs, birds, snakes, horses, and cats. It’s this last creature that I find unforgivable—how a human smart enough to graduate from college and become a doctor would waste his time helping a cat is beyond my understanding.

The second tag is shaped like a silver bone and has my name stamped on it in capital letters: INDIGO. In English, it means “deep blue dye.” The name can be traced back to the Greek language, based on the word “indikon”, meaning “from India” where the dark blue violet color originates. Indigo has historically been associated with royalty and mystery. A perfect description of my personality (especially the mysterious part).

As a Blue Heeler, I’m particularly proud of this tag and I enjoy shaking my head and making it clink loudly against the other one. Overall, I give it Five Wags!
